# Wayfinding

Help patrons find their way to the material, with the location data a client needs to put it on a map.

## 1.7.1 Find material, map — Supported

Show on a map where in the library the material is.

### What you can build

PLAS supplies where a copy stands and where the branch is. The map of the library itself belongs to the client.

### Typical flow

1. The client reads the branch, the sections and the `shelfmark` for the copy from `GetHoldings`.
2. The client reads the branch's `coordinates` and its section types from `GetLocations`.
3. The client places the material on its own map of the library.

### What the API provides

- `coordinates` gives the branch's `latitude` and `longitude`, and `radius`: how far in metres the branch extends.
- The specification has no positions inside a branch. A map of floors and shelves has to come from the client.

### Calls in the API
